Though the title of this blog may paint the picture that my workout was also easy, it indeed was not! I attended my usual Body Pump class after missing the past couple Mondays. After Saturday’s class, I was a bit nervous but it was great! I definitely felt stronger, but boy was it difficult! I think it had to do with the instructor. My favorite instructor taught (she usually does Wednesdays) and she really pushes us to the limit which I love (and also hate! :) )

What was easy tonight however, is dinner! My meal makin’ Sunday had dinner ready for us in a jif.

Sweet potato chili! It’s a favorite in our house. I used Andi’s recipe to a T, as always. Ryan is obsessed  with this recipe (as am I) and we usually eat it up in a matter of days.

A sweet and savory combo I can get behind!

In other news, I’m finally giving this blog a makeover! Julie from Savvy Eats is helping me with a complete re-design and I am so excited. We just finalized on a header image today and I can’t wait to show everyone! Not sure when it will be all changed over, but hopefully soon. I’ll keep you posted in case you read via Google Reader :)

Time to hang with my boys!

Catchy title, eh?

I thought so. :)

This morning I headed to a new to me yoga studio for a 9 am class. Of course, I had a groupon to use and this was my first visit of 30! I can go to around 10 different places for 30 classes of Yoga, PIlates, African Dance, Zumba, Kickboxing, etc. Oh, and I have to use all of these before June 30th. Whoops.

Fuel for the day. Whole wheat bagel, one side buttered, one side peanut buttered.

It was nice. There were only 5 of us and the instructor was really welcoming. I picture this being my Saturday ritual for a while!

Then it was off to the Saturday morning ‘Pump.

I love Pump, as you all know, but today I did not.

Today was hard. Probably the hardest class ever and I don’t know why. I felt extremely fatigued throughout the entire class and could barely even do my normal weights. Weird.

After I ‘Pump, I headed home to quickly shower, make a smoothie and head right back out the door.

Our agenda included picking up our wine shipment (!!!), grocery shopping & wedding band shopping.

Wiiiine. We’re members of the Oliver Wine Club, which is headquartered in Bloomington, Indiana. Oliver wine was basically the go-to wine for cheap college kids. They don’t sell a lot of the kinds we get shipped in the bi-yearly packages though, so it’s a special treat. I’m excited for the dessert wine (far right)!

No pictures of the wedding band…I want to keep it a surprise! But I think we both figured out which ones we like best. Another task marked off the list!

Tonight I’m not sure of dinner plans. I’m thinking a shrimp stir fry but who knows!

Toodles for now!

How’s it hangin’? Rainy here in Milwaukee. Very. Rainy.

Mondays usually fly by so before I knew it I was scootin’ out the door to head to the gym.

Body Pump Mondays make for a good Monday. I did feel somewhat weaker today though. I’ve been trying to up my weights on a few tracks and man am I feeling it. I know it’s because I’m getting stronger but man oh man!

Now we’re watching the Bachelor, which we started later when it actually starts so we can fast forward thru the dumb parts. This season is so awful! Anyone else agree? Maybe it’s because I don’t like Ben or maybe because most of the girls are annoying but I am not a fan.

Dinner featured Angela’s Vegan Enchiladas…that I made vegetarian. I didn’t have much nutritional yeast on hand so I used shredded cheese.

Lots o veggies in the skillet.

All sauced up with enchilada sauce.

So, so good.

Question: Enchilada fan?

I am so glad to finally feel better. Work flew by and before I knew it I was on my way home and headed to the gym.

Um, have you guys experience the new release of Body Pump? It was just recently released and holy. COW! This release is intense! The shoulder, back & lunge track nearly killed me. In a good way, of course. And the tricep track always gets me. I swear, I have no triceps at all. They just don’t exist. I’m such a wimp on tricep pushups. It felt great to get back to the gym though.

The class was crowded, but it always is so I don’t think it’s due to the January Joiners.

I was starving when I got home. Thankfully, leftovers were in order! I’ll spare you the picture, since it doesn’t photograph well :)

Now I’m chilling watching some Gossip Girl on Netflix.

Steamy, steamy.
And relaxin’ with this goober.
He’s bashful.
And blog writin’.
And some Integrative work!
Have a great evening!
Question: Are you still keeping at your New Year’s resolutions/goals? I am, slowly but surely!

I sure hope your legs don’t feel as beat up as mine do.

I decided I wanted to up my working out habits just a tinge. I’d like to lose a *little* more weight A) to be healthier & B) to look smokin’ hot on September 2, 2012. But mostly just to feel healthier.

But I knew I didn’t want to go on a diet. I don’t do diets. I try and then…stop trying so that isn’t the best way for me.

So, with that, I decided to go to two classes two days week to amp it up.

And oh boy, my body noticed.

I did my usual Body Pump class on Monday and stayed after to attend my first Sh’Bam class.

According to Les Mills, Sh’Bam…

Featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves, SH’BAM™ is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star – even if you’re dance challenged.

Set to a soundtrack of chart-topping popular hits, dance music that is heard in the hottest nightclubs around the world, familiar classics remixed and modernized Latin beats, SH’BAM™ is the ultimate fun and sociable way to exercise. Each 45-minute SH’BAM™ class is vibrant, unique and varied – and like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new SH’BAM™ release is produced every three months with new music and choreography.

It was so. much. fun. I love that it’s laid back and you don’t even think about it as a workout! Though it didn’t seem  like a workout, it definitely was and taking that after Body Pump made me feel oh so sore.

Tonight I just attended Zumba to take it easy (but still groove it).

And for dinner tonight…

Homemade pizza!

We love homemade pizza and I can’t remember the last time we had it so on the menu it went! My side was loaded up with italian sausage, turkey pepperoni, banana peppers, green olives, goat cheese & shredded cheese.

With a side salad of romaine lettuce, banana peppers, carrots, croutons, cucumbers & balsamic vinaigrette.

Question: What’s your favorite kind of pizza? I’m not picky when it comes to pizza (or really any food) so I’ll eat just about anything!

Sung to the tune of Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer

Yep. I said it. It was my second class yesterday and ohmygosh I’m hurtin’! I enjoyed the instructor a lot more this time than last. She was definitely ready to make me sweat. Plus the track had “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by Backstreet Boys as a song. Oh yeah…that definitely got me in the mood to pump some iron!

I’m not gonna lie…I wanted to curse the instructor at moments. Parts of my arms hurt that I didn’t even know could hurt. I also don’t think I’ve ever worked my triceps. Like, literally never. Because they would not even move sometimes! It was a total body workout and I am lovin’ it!

Today I went to a cycling class. Holy cow, my body is screaming. I most definitely can’t wait until Body Flow tomorrow (first time) to stretch out these muscles!

*Random sidenote alert! Looks like I need to get some recipes up in here, up in here (yep, more singing except this time DMX). I’ll be sure to start snapping some pics of our yummiest meals.

Question: Have you done Body Pump? If yes, did you like it?
