Yep. Yesterday evening at the 5:30 spin class, I nearly walked out.

I’m not sure what’s going on, but for the past few spin classes I just can’t get it together. I feel slow,  lethargic and my legs feel like they weigh 100 pounds each.

Maybe it’s because I do more leg heavy classes in the beginning of the week (Body Step & Body Pump) and by the end of the week my legs are just refusing to move. Or maybe I’m just having an off few weeks.

It happens. But yesterday I. Was. Struggling.

I nearly had tears in my eyes I was doing so bad.

I kept thinking to myself, “I could just leave right now, no one would care.”

Right in the middle of my thoughts, the instructor, Kelly (one of my favorites for spin), said something that made me completely change my mind.

What she said was, “I’ve had a pretty rough week this week, guys. Honestly, you all here are the only reason I’m even here.”

How could I leave after that? I didn’t have a bad week, let alone a rough week. I only wanted to leave because it was too hard. I wanted to take the easy way out. I wanted to give up.

But I didn’t. I stayed and worked even harder those last 3o minutes of the class. It was hard, but I made it through.

That being said, I did not get up as planned this morning for another spin class and that’s okay. Sometimes you need a break and to make french toast for breakfast on a sunny Saturday morning.
