First Personal Trainer Meeting

Evening folks. Well, tonight was my first meeting with a personal trainer. It went pretty well! I mean, the first half hour we just talked about my fitness goals, my fitness past, struggles, etc and the second half I hopped on a treadmill to do some interval work. I didn’t realize just saying my goals out loud made me feel better and already like I was accomplishing something. The path to a healthy lifestyle isn’t always easy, but you just have to take it one day at a time.

She mentioned how it’s good that I have a wedding to look my best for, since that will essentially give me a goal to work toward. It is definitely feasible for me to get where I want to be in the amount of time I have so that was comforting. Now I just need to (re) commit!

We have a second meeting next week (on Valentine’s Day, how romantic) to finish up and then we will talk to see if I want to go forward with a full plan. I honestly don’t know what I want at the moment. I think I could definitely benefit from it, but I’m not sure I want to put down the moolah for it. We’ll see!

When I came home, I was happy to see my package finally arrived from Open Sky.

And inside…

Barney Butter, baby!

Oh my gosh. This is so creaaaamy. Ridiculously creamy. Like, it should be outlawed, so creamy. Why has this been missing in my life?! I got 2 creamy jars & 2 crunchy. I assume they will be gone in a week. (Only sort of kidding).

I also ordered an iPhone case too. Do I have an iPhone at the moment? No. But I will be getting one in 2 weeks and I needed to get a case anyways. This case is able to hold your credit card & driver’s license. Perfect for going out (or maybe a bachelorette party 😉 )

I threw dinner together quickly because I was starving and didn’t feel like waiting for anything too time consuming.

Grilled Cheese w/ tomatoes & kale chips.

Can’t get enough kale!

Question: Have you ever met with a personal trainer? Like or dislike?

  1. How do you make your kale chips? They look delish!

I had a 30 min. personal training session at Anytime fitness once. It was SOO hard, I don’t know how anyone could do a full hour. I’d love to have a whole package with one though. I think it would be really motivating.

  2. Mine wasn’t that hard! I was only on the treadmill for like 20 minutes and that’s it. Maybe next time she’ll kick my ass more???

And for the kale chips! I used a recipe I found on some blog (can’t remember which one). Just olive oil, garlic salt, soy sauce (key ingredient!!!) and nutritional yeast. SO GOOD.
